rhapsody in bloom set upRhapsody in Bloom

Dine in gorgeous summer gardens at Olbrich Botanical Gardens' Rhapsody in Bloom Benefit Gala on Saturday, June 21 from 5 to 10 p.m. This year's event promises to be the most magnificent garden party yet! Join Olbrich in celebrating the majestic Thai Pavilion and Garden, honoring our special connection with the University of Wisconsin - Madison and the UW Alumni Association - Thai Chapter. Celebrate with honorary chairs for this year's gala, UW Chancellor John Wiley and Georgia Wiley.

Tickets for Rhapsody in Bloom are $110 per person, or enjoy an evening with friends and purchase a table of eight for $880. Forty-one dollars from each ticket is tax deductible. To charge reservations by phone call 608-246-5616. The reservation deadline is June 13.

The evening begins at 5 p.m. with Thai-inspired butler-passed hors d'oeuvres in the Sunken and Herb Gardens. At 6:30, enjoy a Thai Seafood Hot Pot in the Thai Garden. Guests can then choose their own dining time - 7:00, 7:30, or 8:00 p.m. - for an elegantly plated Thai-influenced dinner under tents on the Great Circle.

After dinner, enjoy dessert in the Gardens, place a bid on hard-to-find plants at the exotic plant auction, or stroll through the gardens. After dark, Olbrich flips the switch on the dramatic lighting in the Rose Garden.
