Rainforest Rhythms is transformed into FREE virtual vacations, creating an opportunity to explore the tropical regions of the world without leaving Wisconsin!!

The Rainforest Rhythms series celebrates cultures in rainforest (tropical and sub-tropical) regions around the world with authentic performances of music and dance.

After enjoying your virtual vacation from the comfort of your home, venture out to Olbrich's Bolz Conservatory to search for tropical plants found in the rainforest regions featured in the online experience using an I SPY activity sheet!

Bolz Conservatory - $6 admission fee applies

Olbrich members and 5 & under are FREE

Capacity is limited to ensure social distancing - weekdays and afternoons, non-peak times.

Take a trip to Cuba! Here you will be entertained by the Cuban music of Charanga Agozá and the dance moves of Madison Rueda. You’ll learn about citrus hybrids, the history of coffee in Cuba, and a critically endangered palm tree that is endemic to the island. And you’ll visit Madison’s sister city, Camagüey, where you will learn about the poet Nicholás Guillén.

Take a trip to Laos. Here you’ll enjoy a Hmong dance that celebrates the New Year, a song written and performed in Hmong by Jordan Xiong, and a cooking demonstration of thum mak hoong using unripe papaya. Then you’ll encounter the largest flower in the world, a strangely non-carnivorous pitcher plant, along with a variety of unique banana plants.
