Gin, Chocolate & Bottle Rockets

Gin, Chocolate & Bottle Rockets combines the musical styles of three solo-artists-turned-bandmates, Jennifer Farley, Shawndell Marks and Beth Kille, into a rich blend of tight 3-part harmonies and clever pop-rock songwriting, ranging from edgy to fun.

GCBR released their first EP in November of 2014 and took home the 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020 Madison Area Music Association (MAMA) Award for Ensemble Vocalists of the Year. Their sophomore album, entitled “Lean” was released on May 31st, 2018 and won Folk/American Album of the Year at the 2019 MAMA Awards.

THe plan

Olbrich’s Mother’s Day Concert will feel a bit different this year with a limited capacity and social distancing. Here are some of the changes you will see:

  • Limit of 120 people allowed on the Great Lawn and 30 people on the rooftop terrace.
  • Individual households must sit at least 6 feet apart from other groups on the Great Lawn and rooftop terrace. A volunteer with a 6 foot measuring tool will be available to assist groups in social distancing.
  • Because of the limited capacity, tickets must be purchased in advance online or over the phone. The ticket links for the concert are listed above. If you do not have internet access, please contact Mike Gibson at 608-243-0156 to purchase tickets.
  • Concert goers will check in with a concert host using their individual tickets issued to the main purchaser via email. Be sure to have a printed copy or digital version on your phone ready upon arrival for scanning.
  • Doors open at 5 p.m.
  • In order to support local musicians there is a $10 ticket cost. A limited number of reduced fee tickets are available. To request a fee waiver, please contact Mike Gibson at mgibson2@cityofmadison.com or 608-243-0156.
  • Visitors should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
  • Carry in picnics are allowed. No sharing of food or drinks between households. Please carry out all trash.
  • Facemasks are required indoors and strongly encouraged outside when not eating or drinking.
