Be inspired by the beauty of a crisp fall evening in Olbrich's outdoor gardens! Watch the flames from bonfires dance on the Great Lawn, groove to live music, enjoy a variety of food offerings provided by some of Madison's favorite food carts, and sip frothy Wisconsin micro-brews!

  • Tickets are non-refundable - Event is held rain or shine

    • Music, bars, and food vendors will be moved inside in the event of heavy rain.
    • Viewing GLEAM during a CRACKLE event is an extra benefit offered only during the CRACKLE events times.
    • If you decide not to attend CRACKLE, you would need to purchase a GLEAM ticket to see the exhibit on another night

Day of Event Tickets

  • If the weather is good the day of the event, an additional 250 tickets will be sold online starting at 2 p.m.

Pre-sale Tickets - Sold Out

  • Pre-sale tickets guarantee admittance on the day of the event, not priority entrance.
    • Pre-sale and day of event ticket purchasers will be admitted at the same time when doors open at 6:45 p.m.

Rain plan information

Event is rain/shine - music, bars, and food vendors will be moved inside in the event of heavy rain.

Rain plan logistics:

  • Food vendors - Atrium & Evjue Commons
  • Band - Evjue Commons
  • Bar Service - Bolz Conservatory & Evjue Commons
  • DJ - Bolz Conservatory
  • Bonfires - Olbrich's staff will make every attempt to ignite the bonfires out on the Great Lawn
  • GLEAM Exhibit - will remain open in the outdoor gardens even in the event of heavy rain for CRACKLE attendees only
  • Seating - a limited number of community dining tables will be available in the Evjue Commons and the Atrium


Olbrich Botanical Gardens has limited parking during the construction of the Gardens' new Learning Center. There are approximately 200 parking space available in the Gardens' lot and possibly 600 CRACKLE attendees.

Consider carpooling, taking a city bus or Uber/lyft, ride a bicycle or take a stroll over to the Gardens.

Please review the alternative parking options prior to arrival in case that Olbrich's lot is full. A park ranger will be monitoring the parking lot and will install "Lot Full" signs at the parking lot entrances when full to help patrons avoid circling for a spot. Thank you for your patience!

CRACKLE features fully staged, live performances on the Great Lawn from some of the area's hottest acts from all across the genre spectrum. Get up and groove or kick back and take in the show! Past performers have included:
