Make a Gift Today

Olbrich Botanical Gardens holds a special place in the hearts of many - as a place of respite, a place of gathering, a place of learning, or place of healing. None of these places would be possible without the financial support we receive each year from generous donors. Making a gift of any amount is a way to show what Olbrich means to you, and to help ensure that it will always be here for future generations to rely upon.

Giving to Olbrich

Planned Gifts

Gifts made through wills and estate plans provide ongoing support to the Gardens. Specific bequests to the Olbrich Botanical Society can be made in a will or trust, or the Society can be named as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, a gift annuity, or a retirement plan.

Unless otherwise designated, these gifts are placed into Olbrich's general endowment fund, Olbrich Forever, which makes an annual distribution to support the operations of the Gardens. This annual distribution is guaranteed, which means that Olbrich will be here for many generations to come!

Major Gifts

Olbrich seeks financial support for a number of special programs and projects that are funded outside the annual operating budget. Read through Olbrich's Wish List for an up-to-date list of these programs and projects.

You can also purchase items from our Amazon Wish List and have them sent directly to Olbrich, fulfilling immediate needs that arise in our daily care of the Gardens.

Find out about the ways that businesses or individuals can support annual programming at the Gardens in our Partnership Guide.

Tribute Trellis

Olbrich's Tribute Trellis is an outdoor, custom-designed trellis which features engraved plaques. It's the perfect way to recognize a special occasion or honor or remember a loved one. Your personalized message will be inscribed on a plaque and placed on the leaf-shaped trellis for three to five years. At the end of that time, the plaque is renewed or returned to you or your designee as a lasting remembrance of your special connection to Olbrich Botanical Gardens.

Trellis plaques are installed twice a year, in the spring and fall. Donors and designees receive notification after purchasing their Trellis plaque and are notified when the plaque is installed. The spring deadline for plaque orders is April 1, and the fall deadline is August 1.

Where Do Donations Go?

From annual membership donations to planned gifts from a will or trust, each and every donation makes a difference at the Gardens. General donations are used to fund annual operations, which include the purchase of thousands of plants, education programs, exhibitions, and displays.
